ABOUT ME

My name is Andrei Stroe, and MatchDay is my passion project. At just 25 years old, I am proud to be the youngest national TV commentator in Romania. My passion for sports and broadcasting has led me to a dynamic career where I bring the excitement of football and basketball games to millions of viewers. I currently work for Prima Sport, one of the leading sports channels in Romania. My role allows me to cover some of the world’s most prestigious football leagues & competitions, including Serie A, Bundesliga, Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, as well as the UEFA competitions. I was lucky to be the voice of Provedel`s goal in Champions League.

In addition to my work as a commentator, I am also a sports journalist with over two and a half years of experience, reporting on a wide range of sports and providing in-depth coverage, analysis, and feature stories. Born and raised in Bucharest, I have a deep connection to the city and a unique insight into its sports culture and community.

I am a graduate of law school, which has equipped me with strong analytical skills and a dedicated work ethic that I bring to both my journalism and commentary. As a former national basketball champion, I understand firsthand the dedication and discipline required to excel in sports, which enriches my perspective as a commentator. I am a native Romanian speaker, fluent in English, and I also speak "un poco de español". Whether I am behind the microphone or writing a feature story, I am dedicated to delivering insightful, engaging, and accurate sports coverage to fans across Romania and beyond. I will use all my expertise to provide you with a truly special guiding experience on a sports arena.
